ABOUT US

Here at Bexcel, we are involved in land for three generations and our long expertise is of course your warranty for a job well done!

It was over 50 years ago when Mr. Costas Nicolaides, grandfather of the undersigned, started the family business in real estate and later became one of the founding members of the Cyprus Real Estate Agents Association. Our family’s involvement in land has been expanding ever since and we continue with the same commitment to the original values laid down by Nicolaides: Professionalism, Quality, Integrity and Reliability.

At present, we are directly involved in several real estate projects, offering potential customers:

  • Well-designed, functional housing projects in exclusive locations
  • Houses, apartments and shops for hire
  • Exclusive land and plots for purchase
  • Interior design solutions
  • Property management
  • One stop – real estate – solutions

We would be more than happy to receive your call or message, or even meet you in person, to attend to your individual needs.

CUSTOMER SATISFACTION

Quality, Reliability, Efficiency, Reasonable price and Timely delivery

Customer satisfaction is always our prime concern! We believe that the right location adds value to the project. Therefore we select the location where we develop our projects with the utmost attention; reason for which all of our projects are built at exclusive, outstanding locations. We are stationed right in the heart of Cyprus’ biggest and most valuable forest (Troodos). We have therefore developed sensitivity to safety, like no other! An indicative example would be the installation of fire hose reels throughout the perimeter of all of our projects, together with fire extinguishers and/or other means necessary for putting out a fire. There is no such thing as “too much” when it comes to safety!

Eco-friendly and sensitive about nature, we are committed to protecting the environment everywhere we lay down the foundations for a new project. We only cut trees where absolutely necessary, we create large gardens and we plant different kinds of fruit trees. We maintain a nice environment in and around our projects while at the same time we benefit from eating fresh, biologic fruits from our very own gardens. One such fine example would be PLASEA Mansion gardens, with over 70 fruit trees including, cherries, apples, plums, pears, apricots, grapes, figs, almonds, walnuts and many others.

OUR HOMELAND

Platres, a gateway to sheer imagination

The village of Pano Platres (or simply, Platres) is a gateway to sheer imagination: clean, surrounded by pine trees, unspoiled and beautiful. Situated at an altitude of over 1000m, it has the ideal climate with temperatures much lower than on the central plain.

Geographically, Platres is located in the center of the island with Limassol just 35km away to the south, so in no time at all you can be there for fun, shopping or business. It is this area that we have chosen as our main activity area; the country’s best mountain resort; Bexcel’s base!

Have you ever dreamed of a house surrounded by large pine trees, with peace and tranquility all around, away from public (residential) areas and yet so close? If you have, then we can make your dream come true.

Our experience of three generations in the real estate business is your warranty.

OUR COMMITMENT

The bee was the source of our inspiration! We used the bee in our logo due to – as we explain below – their great architectural and structural properties. Thanks to perfectionism, methodical and hard work that characterizes them, in order to deliver the perfect “building” – in every sense – to the tenants. A building that provides comfortable living and protection.

So this is also our goal. Our vision and our commitment yet. To conceive, plan and construct buildings as complete as possible, always perfect, placed to carefully selected locations, offering to our customers the best possible living conditions!

Primary concern, the selection of the site! Before beginning any construction, bees investigate thoroughly to find the right space, the ideal “plot” that would accommodate their nest. Usually it is a small hollow space entry, such as the cavity of a tree or a rock cavity, within which the bees will build the honeycombs.

The “drawing board” already created the perfect architectural design: the hexagonal shape of the cells, which is the most ergonomic method of manufacture of combs. Circular, octagonal or pentagonal cells would leave gaps between them, while triangles and squares would require more wax to make them due to their increased girth. The hexagonal shape provides economy but the wax makes better use of the space and gives stability and strength in the comb (comb keeps every kilo up to 22 kilos of honey).

With land and architectural plans ready, begins – with incredible accuracy – the construction of housing that protects the bees from the threats of enemies and adverse weather conditions. Upon completion of the construction part, as a result of methodical and hard work, the “plastering” starts. Worker bees coat the inside of the cells with an oil coating that collects the pollen, also known as balsam. Sterilizing like this the inside of the cells, preparing it to lay the queen.

Before the delivery of the building to its new residents, worker bees take care of the cleanliness of the hive – paramount for the survival of the bees. Removing anything foreign to the hive (waste material and / or other pathogen) and isolating with propolis whatever they can not remove, which germicidal and fungicidal properties function as a disinfectant for the hive. Note that in an area of less than one cubic meter congregate 40,000 bees and take care such that the air is kept clean itself inside and outside the cell.

The completion of the structure includes the establishment of comfortable living conditions for its residents by installing special air conditioners! Bees live comfortably and are most active at temperatures between 10th and 38th C. So when the temperature is high, the “air conditioning” starts. Group attendants placed inside and outside the entrance of the hive move the wings and direct a stream of air from the outside to the inside of the cell and another in reverse direction. Simultaneously another group of attendants carries water and places it in drops, at various points within the cell. By airing the water evaporates and the temperature drops. Otherwise (when the temperatures go down) here comes the “heating.” Forming the “beeball”, a compact layer which consists of many bees placed densely next to each other. The thickness of this layer varies with temperature variations so that the mass within the other bees to live in conditions pleasant and desirable.
